Historic Panama Hotel Tea & Coffee House is hiring a Barista/Bartender with:
At least 1 year of high-volume manual espresso experience
WA State Food Handler’s Permit + Class 13 MAST Permit
Responsible, age 21+
Clean, punctual, team-oriented, and always smiling
Shifts:
• Sunday & Monday 8:30am–4:30pm
• One weekday evening (2:30–9:30pm)
20–30 hrs/week
Start: WA minimum wage $20.76/hr + tips
Experienced? Higher starting wage possible!
Must be able to multitask, lift 40 lbs (milk/coffee restock), and handle interruptions like a pro. Bartending experience not required—we’re happy to train the right person. Japanese or other languages = plus!

We are on the street level of the Panama Hotel. Since 2001, we serve a wide selection of tea from around the world, coffee from a local roaster Mio Coffee, cocktails and various pastries. There are two large rooms that can accommodate up to 75 people for an event.

Panama Hotel Museum
Our museum in the Panama Hotel Tea & Coffee displays historical items including suitcases owned by Japanese Americans sent to the camps, mochi (rice cake) makers and historical photos of Nihonmachi (Japantown). From the floor, you can also view the basement, since 1942, has kept luggage and belongings. Visit the museum and precious collection!
